Tuesday Tutorial - Repurposing Old T-Shirts
Do you have an old t-shirt that you really love? Maybe it's the wrong size or it has a tear and you can't wear it anymore. Today I'd like to show you some ways to repurpose those beloved t-shirts.
This looks so cozy, a rag quilted t-shirt pillow. I can only imagine how soft it is. You can find out how to make your own at fiskars.com
I've seen a lot of bags made from t-shirts, but this one is really cute. I especially love the handles. The tutorial can be found at www.chichideehandmade.blogspot.com
We have a a tutorial here at www.byyourhands.com It's a pillow made from a t-shirt. I made these for my boys a couple years ago. They reminded me the other day that it's time for new ones.
Maybe you'll think twice before you toss out the old t-shirt.
Thanks for joining us today!

Need a quilt to go with the pillow? www.sewcaroline.com shows us how it's done.
This one is a really cute no-sew project. Turn your hubby's t-shirt into a fitted shirt. Instructions can be found at www.connectthedotsons.blogspot.com

Organizing ----- Green Cleaning Product Recipes
With all the toxins in our lives, it makes sense to make your own cleaning products. Did you know that white vinegar kills most mold, bacteria and germs? Many homemade green products contain vinegar.
These are some of the cleaners we use in our home.
Drain Cleaner
Pour 1 cup of baking soda down your drain followed by 1 cup of hot white vinegar. Let sit for five or 10 minutes and then flush with hot water.
Caution: do not use this method after using a commercial drain opener--the vinegar can react with the drain opener to create dangerous fumes.
All Purpose Spray Cleaner
Fill a spray bottle with half vinegar, half water and 1 teaspoon of dish detergent.
All Purpose Cleanser
We use baking soda in place of cleanser. Just sprinkle baking soda on pots and pans, sinks, bread boards,
etc. Wet with enough water to make a paste and scrub.
Do you have a favorite homemade cleaner that works for you?
