Tuesday Tutorial - Tote Bags

I absolutely LOVE tote bags. Some girls love their shoes, which I do too, but I love tote bags. I guess it's because they come in all sizes shapes and colors. I have made quite a few and writing this post has put me in the mood to make another one. They're normally pretty simple to make and with the tutorials we have today, it makes it even easier.

The first one is from www.bhg.com.

How about these yummy colors!! Her blog is just as gorgeous. Check it out... www.thehappyzombie.com

This tutorial has a lot of detailed photos. Again, love the colors. Find out how it's made at... www.oohprettycolors.blogspot.com

All of the totes featured here would be great as re-usable shopping bags, beach bags, diaper bags and more.

Hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Organizing ----- Towel Racks

Towel racks aren't only for towels.   Look at these ways to use them to organize.  What other ways can you think of to use them?

Mount one upside down under a cabinet to hold utensils.

Use them by the door to hang backpacks.

Hang baskets for storage.

Here is a pot rack from Improvised Life.

Thanks for visiting today.

Tuesday Tutorial - Great Things Made From Everyday Items

Who would have ever known you could make something this awesome from a cereal box? I love it.
Want to make your own? Instructions can be found at Green Zebra Crafts.

How about a cute basket made from a paper plate? This would be great for giving cookies or treats to someone and not having to worry about about getting your container back. Instructions can be found at sarahhearts.com

This cute ribbon holder is made from an oatmeal container. Find out how it's done here... scrapbooksetc.com

It amazes me how such clever items can be made out of almost anything.

Thanks for joining us today.

Organizing ----- Curtain Rods

Curtain rods aren't just for curtains any more.   Today I am sharing some ideas for using tension curtain rods for organizing.

Use tension rods to separate pans, platters or cutting boards.  Photo from Martha Stewart.com.

A great way to keep pan lids organized from Imperfect Home.

Or stretch a tension rod across your undersink cabinet to keep spray bottles organized from A Thousand Words.  I think I would add some brackets to the sides to hold the tension rod up.   All that weight would most likely cause it to slide down.
