Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Crochet A Sunflower Video
Still in August so we can do another posting on sunflowers. :) Today I thought we would watch this video from Crochet Jewel on how to make these little sunflowers. You could make several of them for coasters or to just put around the house for decoration. Looks very easy.....I may have to try this.
Happy crocheting!
Colleen :)

How cute is this!!! Not only does it remind me of the children's rhyme but I'm also reminded of all the summer county fairs going on. The first place I always go is to see the pigs...they fascinate me for some reason.

Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Crocheting Spring Flowers
Hard to believe we have already had Easter. Just doesn't seem right to me. Those early Easters just messes me up. Hope everyone had a good Easter and enjoyed time with family and friends. Well anyway.....spring is really here and it is time to think of pretty pastels and flowers. Here is a tutorial from K&T Art on how to crochet big and small springtime flowers. I use to make lots of these for different projects, but haven't in some time...hmmmm....better get back to making some of those. :)
Happy crocheting!

Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Crocheting Tutorials
I know everyone is waiting for Spring and so am I, but I thought maybe we could work a little longer on crocheted scarves and hats. I know up here in the north country we only have a few months that we don't wear these so they are very popular. I do a lot of crocheting in my spare time (as if I have any of that! LOL!) and I make sweaters for Knits For Kids and have for a few years.
So for those of you that would like to get some new patterns for scarves and sweater I surfed the web and found these for you. :)
Here is a pattern and tutorial from Classy Crochet for a diamond lattice chain scarf. It looks very pretty and actually I have made these before and once you get it going it is pretty easy. :)
Well I am sure some of you crocheters use Red Heart yarn, as I do with my sweaters for the kids, so I thought I would show you this pattern from Red Heart.
Crochet hats are becoming more and more popular or at least they seem to be. I know ladies up here wear them a lot. I know one of the popular one's are the slouch hat. Over at the Examiner.com they have this pattern that looks pretty good. If I liked crochet hats to wear I would try making one of these, but I don't wear hats. :)
Then let's not forget the kids hats! You can make such cute designs for them. This one from Ravelry is so cute. Makes me wish my grandkids were little again.
So while you are still sitting in the snow and wondering if Spring will ever get here, just use that time indoors and make a scarf and hat. :)

Well I would think most everyone is so tired of winter especially with the harsh winter some of you had so I thought maybe we should turn our thoughts to Spring. Let's shake the winter blues off and start to create. Here are some patterns available for all of you crafters and sewers from the wonderful Etsy shops.
So if you are a knitter, crocheter, quilter or crafter Spring is a great time to get those creative juices flowing again.

Bonnie at BonnieBraeCrafts has this cute spring embroidery pattern for all of you stitchers. You can make this and hang it on your wall to add a little spring to your home.
And who doesn't know someone that has a baby that would love a new pair of baby booties. Ruth over at RuthMaddock has this great pattern for you.
And then there is my favorite pastime.........quilting. I love all the spring colors and flowers in this quilt pattern from QuiltLilyDesigns.
