Tuesday Tutorial - Sewing Kit In A Jar

I just emptied out a small jar yesterday and was wondering what I could do with it. It was too nice to just throw away, so I washed it with no idea what I'd use it for, well, today I know EXACTLY what I'll be doing with it.

I've found three different tutorials for sewing kits in a jar and although, they're all the same concept, they're all made slightly different. They all have complete instructions with photos (which I love).

Here's the first one,  it's from www.fun.kyti.me (love that URL - very clever isn't it?)

The next one is from www.thecottagehome.blogspot.com. I love all the pink!

Last, but not least is this sewing kit jar from www.momtastic.com

I really think these would make cute little gifts for friends and family who sew. They'd even look cute just sitting on the shelf as a decoration too.

Be sure to check out the links for more info. Thanks for joining us again today!

Organizing - Misc. Ideas

Today, I'm sharing a few miscellaneous ideas to help us get and stay organized.

The first one is a "why didn't I think it that" idea. We all have bungee cords... right. Look what I found at www.MarthaStewart.com. Simply hook them to nails driven into the wall studs and you have a great small storage space for fishing poles, rakes, etc.

How about this idea for your measuring cups and measuring spoons. Mount a strip of hooks inside cupboard doors. This idea comes from www.familyhandyman.com

Have any old shutters? Hang one and use it as a mail station. This idea is from www.diyideas.com

This would be so handy in a laundry room or mud room... just grab your cleaning supplies and go. This idea is from www.lowescreativeideas.com

Enjoy your week!
