Do you have some extra scrapbooking paper laying around or maybe some office supplies you're not using? Maybe you can make one of today's featured projects or perhaps be inspired to come up with your own paper crafting project.
The first one I'd like to share today is from www.simplyvintagegirl.com I love all the different papers she used to create this notebook. It looks pretty simple to make as she has complete instructions with photos.
Next, I found this great way to recycle cereal boxes. The way my family eats cereal, I could have a whole shelf full of these in no time. You'll find great instructions on how to make these at pittypatpaperie.blogspot.com
This one is clever too... a Button and String Mini Journal from www.thecreativeplace.blogspot.com. You'll find instructions with photos to walk you through every step.
Last and certainly not least, I found these really cute stars made from paper. You could use these for all kinds of things. They'd be really cute as bowl fillers, in a jar, on a Christmas tree, etc. Instructions are here... www.umeorigami.com
Thanks so much for joining us today!

Happy Labor Day!
ALWAYS FINISH
If a task is once begun,
Never leave it till it's done.
Be the labor great or small,
Do it well or not at all.

Time Saver Recipes - No Mess Squash on the Grill
It's Labor Day weekend! Who wants to fuss with dishes and clean up after a great meal that's been cooked on the grill? With this recipe from allrecipes.com you won't have to worry about any of that. I think this would make a great side for just about any meal.
Ingredients
- 2 yellow squash, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 2 zucchini, cut into 1/2-inch slices
- 2 tomatoes, cut into wedges (optional)
- 1 small onion, sliced and separated into rings
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Directions
- Preheat an outdoor grill to medium heat. Cut two sheets of heavy duty aluminum foil, each approximately 18 inches long.
- Place the yellow squash, zucchini, tomatoes, onion, and garlic in the center of one sheet of aluminum foil. Drizzle with olive oil; season with salt and pepper. Place second sheet of foil on top of vegetables. Fold edges together tightly to seal packet.
- Place packet on the top rack of the preheated grill. Cook for 15 minutes. Turn packet over and continue to cook until vegetables are tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
- Carefully cut an "X" into top of packet and pour vegetables and juices into serving bowl. Garnish with parsley.
- Cook's Note: For a spicier option, add 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar, 1 tablespoon of oregano, and 1 tablespoon of hot sauce (I use Franks® Red Hot®). This adds a slightly different color along with a robust flavor to the squash.
