Tuesday Tutorial - Padded Cell Phone Case

I have to admit, I carry around my cell phone unprotected... all the time. It's scratched, smudged and scuffed. My hubby has the same phone as I, his is in a case that he carries on his hip and his phone looks a lot nicer than mine... less scratches, less smudges and less scuffed (we got them on the same day too).

Anyway... I have searched for the perfect phone case and can't find it. I don't really know what my problem is. I should just get one and use it. I want something "special", I guess.

In the next few days, I'll be at my sewing machine, as I need to make a couple of Christmas gifts, so I think while I am there I will make myself a cell phone case.

I found several tutorials, that I am going to share with you today, but I can't decide which one I want to make yet. They are all really GREAT ideas and simple enough for me to make.

This one is from www.chez-vies.blogspot.com. I like the fact that they show you how to customize this for your own phone.

The next one is a clever idea too, simple and functional. I like the flap on it and would probably add some velcro or a button for a closure. The tutorial can be found at www.aprettycoollife.com

I absolutely LOVE these... they remind me of a cozy little quilt for your phone. The instructions for these are from www.ctpubblog.com

Last, but certainly, not least is this one from www.bayoubags.com. I like how they used the D rings so it can be attached to your beltloop. I like the zig-zagged edges too.

Ok... so now I still don't know what I want. Maybe I'll make up a few and the ones I don't want can be given as gifts.

Thanks for visiting us again!

  1. I really like all of them and I also should really use one for my phone but....I find it annoying to have to get my phone out of them all the Time. Or they are to bulky to put in my Jeans Pocket and so on. But I may just do one anyway ....just because I can:)

  2. Nothing better than a protector for your cell phone, camera or IPod. I make them out of wool and have been carrying my camera around in my purse all year and don't need to worry about it getting scratched!

  4. A cell phone case is the most cost effective investment for your mobile phone. It increases the resale value of your phone by reducing the chance of accidental damage from knocks and scratches. Moreover, it will also reduce the risk of getting dirt and dampness inside your phone.
