Snowflake Saturday - Grandma Jennie's

Our next Snowflake Saturday features Grandma Jennie's Snowflake pattern from Kara of Petals to Picots. Can you see a few beads crocheted into this snowflake to add a little extra bling? Either way, it is a very pretty snowflake. For the complete tutorial, click on the image above and work up a few this weekend!

Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Vintage Ghosts

Halloween will be here next week. Can't believe how fast time rolls on. I thought since there is still a little bit of Halloween time left we would look at some vintage ghosts and witches from Etsy. Maybe you will get some ideas for next year's decorating. :)

Well what more is a icon of Halloween, but pumpkins and ghost just like this one from MidCenturyQueen. Love the look on the ghost. :)

Do you need a plate to put some of that Halloween candy in? Take a look at this one from WeaverVintageCharm. Looks scary to me.

So are you thinking of dressing up next year as a witch? Well you can get started on that costume with these vintage witches shoes from ReluctantDamsel. Look like the real thing to me. :)

Ok....now we need to have some witches brew for Halloween for sure and this pot from CandilandArt has the perfect vintage pot for making this brew. Now....what shall we put in it? :)

So if you are already to go for Halloween this year or already planning for next year I hope everyone has a great Halloween!

Happy Haunting!

Colleen :)

Over the next few Saturdays, I will be linking to some beautiful Snowflake tutorials. Perfect for your holiday tree, to use on your gift packaging, hang in your windows to catch the sun rays or whatever ways you decide. Did you notice the little hearts around the center? I'm thinking these can be used for Valentine ornaments also! What do you think?

To kick off our Snowflake Saturday is this gorgeous Six-Point Century Snowflake designed by Deborah at Snowcatcher. To start creating your own Snowflake ornament, click on the photo below for the complete directions written in both US and British Terminology.

Kidz Korner - Paper Plate Witch

You and the kidz are going to have fun with this one. Not hard to do but lots of fun when you and the kidz work together. Maybe even cutting out the eye holes, attach elastic and let the kidz use for a mask. Great to keep too since you are using the kidz hand prints for the witches hair. For the full tutorial, visit Crafty Morning by simply clicking on the picture above.

Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Ghost Tutorial

Halloween is almost here........:)  It seems Halloween is getting to be just as popular as Christmas when it comes to decorating your home. I know my daughter just goes over the top when it comes to decorating her house for Halloween. One of the big items for Halloween is ghosts, so I thought we would look at how to make some really easy ghosts that you can use in your Halloween decorating. I found this great tutorial from Amy over at The Idea Room. I think these little ghosts are so cute. Let's give them a try. :)

Have a great week!

I really like the way this turned out and it only took a few steps to complete...yep....my kind of project! Why not give it a try. :)

Happy crafting!
