Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Sewing Zipper Bag Tutorial
Do you have all that little loose stuff at the bottom of your purse that you keep saying you need a little bag to keep them in? Do you have a stash of fabric like mine that just keeps growing? If so....let's kill two birds with one stone (as they say) and make these really cute zipper bags. Melly Sews shows how to make them in this tutorial. I actually have a little zipper bag like this one that I have stuffed full! :)
Pretty easy I would say. Great gift idea too. :)

Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Upcycle Your Garden
Spring is here and summer is fast approaching so it is time to plan those gardens. I think we will visit Etsy to see what neat upcycled, recycled items we can find for your garden.
If you are like me I love to plant flowers in different types of pots. This teapot planter from ATeapotGarden has this really nice one that fits the bill.
Now how cute is this coffee pot sun catcher from MinnesotaJunker! You could put it in your flower garden above some flowers and make it look like it is watering the flowers. :)
On to the vegetable garden. So you have your rows of seeds planted and what is the next thing you need.....markers so when the plants come up you can identify them. These recycled vintage spoons from MonPetitChouBoutique would really look good especially if it is an herb garden.
Ooooo....oooooo!!! I just love old boxes and FilthyRichDesigns has this wonderful vintage tool box that has been upcycled to a flower planter! You can use it for flowers, but also would be wonderful for a small herb garden. If you are limited on space this box is for you. :)
Lots of neat upcycled items for your gardens. Why not try some of them out.

Needles-n-Pins Stitcheries: Vintage Spring
Don't you just love Spring! I know I do. Everything is waking up from the long winter and getting ready for the summer days. There is still time to do some Spring decorating around your house and maybe use some vintage items for that so let's see what we can find on Etsy.
We can start with a very pretty Spring tablecloth like this very nice hand embroidered one from thespoolroom. I love all the pretty colors of the flowers on this one.
Next we need some nice place mats for our kitchen table. Look at these very colorful and "springy" one's from NiceLandKnolls.
Ooo...ooo.....what better Spring flower than daffodils. I know most of the daffodils may be gone by now, but these are just so pretty you can hang this plate from SweetDaphneVintage on your wall and keep those daffodils around a little longer. :)
Ok...we have the tablecloth and place mats so I guess the last thing we need is a nice centerpiece with pretty spring flowers and TreasuresTimeworn has this beautiful pink flower and crystal basket that you can put on your table. Don't you just love all the colors in this basket!
Well there you have some great ideas for decorating your house with a little Spring still. Up in my neck of the woods Spring hasn't sprung yet, but the snow is gone!! 😄
